Fabulous singular clip earrings in substantial cast solid goldtone metal studded with brilliant prong set champagne peach color rhinestones, and goldtone metal beads wired between the top and bottom elements. 1960s or 1970s, not marked. Probably French. They have the same rhinestone studded metal construction and back construction as the signed French Simone Edouard earrings I have listed. Early vintage drop pendant necklace in 14KT yellow gold with carved apple jade beads, a carved jade medallion in apple jade with hints of spinach, and a center drop in carved pierced apple jade. The carved motifs are Chinese in form. 1920s or 1930s. Marked 14K on the clasp and tests positive for 14KT gold. It weighs 9 grams. From a Baltimore estate. I also have a jade and gold bracelet listed from the same estate.

Huge statement necklace in silvertone metal with a thick flat "gaspipe" or snake chain closing in the front at a heavy dark blue enameled center element, with a very unusual double snap closure. Marked MONET. 1970s. This "utility modern" look originated as part of the Machine Age style of the 1930s and enjoyed a revival in the 1970s and 1980s, and has been interpreted various ways in costume and fine jewelry, including by such makers as Cartier. Spectacular hand made 1960s modernist organic sculptural necklace in bronze or brass in an asymmetrical design with bezel set cabochon semi precious stones set on branches among leaf form elements with articulated links and hook clasp. Luscious heavy coral glass beaded hand knotted 62 inch long necklace, circa 1970. From the estate of a New York socialite; I had several necklaces like this and this is the last one. Spring ring brass clasp. Large 12 mm diameter beads hand knotted with matching coral thread. Color is warmer and pinker than in photos. 62 inches long and the beads are 1/2 inch wide. Excellent condition. No losses to beads. There is one open air bubble in one bead; pictured but not noticeable when worn.

A beautiful vintage sterling necklace with brilliant rhinestones in channel settings, in flexible links with detailed engraved decoration. Circa 1930. With a slide clasp and safety chain with a spring ring catch. Marked STERLING. Substantial at 53 grams and drapes beautifully. The links are connected at the inner edge and fan open at the outer edge.

With a center square cut diamond of about 4 mm by 4 mm, or .40 carat, and ten other small round diamonds including four at 2 mm and six at 1 mm. With two emeralds of about 1 mm by just under 2 mm. Stunning antique Austro Hungarian silver Renaissance revival necklace with six very large genuine turquoise stones, three in robin's egg blue, and three in dark green. Circa 1900. Marked 830 on the main clasp and 925 on the clasp of the extender (more on the extender below). 830 silver was made in Austria-Hungary. Both pieces also have the same maker's mark, which looks like a conjoined HOH.

These necklaces were also originally used as muff chains, hanging the fur muff around the wearer's neck, where it would fall at about waist length. The watch style clasp and ring could also be used to hang items such as a lorgnette or a lady's watch. This piece is long enough to wear four times around the neck or wear as a longer sautoir.
