Huge statement necklace in silvertone metal with a thick flat "gaspipe" or snake chain closing in the front at a heavy dark blue enameled center element, with a very unusual double snap closure. Luscious heavy coral glass beaded hand knotted 62 inch long necklace, circa 1970. From the estate of a New York socialite; I had several necklaces like this and this is the last one. Spring ring brass clasp. Large 12 mm diameter beads hand knotted with matching coral thread. Color is warmer and pinker than in photos. 62 inches long and the beads are 1/2 inch wide. Excellent condition. No losses to beads. There is one open air bubble in one bead; pictured but not noticeable when worn.
