Circa 1970 modernist French necklace in goldtone metal with fine chains, rectangular beautifully finished links, and small poured glass paste stones in open bezel settings with twist wire edges, in two colors of green and a light opaline color. The bezel elements were made by the Gripoix atelier, which has made couture jewelry for Chanel for decades. I had a signed necklace (now sold) by Histoire de Verre, the current brand name for the Gripoix glass atelier, with these same poured glass elements, and these elements are often found on signed Chanel jewelry as well. 65 1/2 inches wearable length and just over 3/8 inch wide. Excellent condition. There is a tiny flea bite at the edge of one opaline stone, pictured but not visible when worn and mentioned strictly for accuracy. Display form is life size. Photos enlarged to show detail.
