Fabulous unusual early vintage necklace made from marbled Bakelite beads in honey amber with a hint of cherry and butterscotch/egg yolk colors, and carved black wood beads, all wired in darkened brass with brass caps and clasp. Marked MADE IN FRANCE, and MOD DEP, which stands for Modele Depose. Circa 1935. The honey/cherry and butterscotch beads test positive for Bakelite using Simichrome. Chic vintage French Art Deco modernist necklace with oblong Bakelite beads capped in chrome plated hemispheres, alternating with matching chrome beads and stacks of the chrome hemispheres, with French screw barrel clasp. From the same estate, a gorgeous pair of green poured glass necklaces with graduated beads simulating Indian moghul emeralds, with early box clasps. 1930s, French. The glass beads are made by Gripoix. Shorter necklace is 15 3/4 inches long and longer necklace is 18 1/2 inches long. Drop for the two is about 2 inches. Excellent condition. Not marked but tests positive for sterling silver. With a dainty slide clasp also set with stones. The square link side chain is made to fall slightly to the sides so the stones on the chain are visible from either side. From a Philadelphia estate.

Beautiful antique gold ring with turquoise stones cut and fitted around a center riviere of mine cut diamonds which are set in what looks like silver. Late 19th century, with tiny marks on the outside of the shank that look like French marks, pictured but very difficult to photograph. Tests positive for 14KT gold with jeweler's acid. Ring size 5 1/2 to 5 3/4. The top is 3/4 inch long and just under 3/8 inch wide. Excellent original condition. Photos enlarged to show detail.
