Marked MARGOT DE TAXCO, STERLING MADE IN MEXICO, with eagle #16, and design number 5291. With her signature swan motif in a very stylized form. Very substantial at 75 grams/2.6 ounces. A fabulous piece from the estate of a serious Baltimore collector.

A signature Margot enameling technique, with leaf forms enameled in translucent green and small circular shapes in opaque white with tiny black speckles. Beautiful baroque style sterling necklace with a very large brilliant synthetic color changing alexandrite stone as a centerpiece. Marked NESTOR 925 and STERLING MEXICO. 1940s, without an eagle mark. Chunky heavy early modernist ring with a large faceted genuine amethyst stone. With two tiny marks on the outside of the shank. One is 800 or 900 (I can't be sure which), for silver content, and the other is a tiny hallmark or maker's mark in a cartouche. Circa 1940.
