Very glam vintage necklace in gunmetal gray mesh with huge prong set stones in red, smoky topaz, and purple. The stones feel like glass. Most of the stones are openbacked and all of those are unfoiled. With a slide clasp with emerald cut colorless stones and tiny lavender stones. Probably Italian, circa 1970. A fabulous very modern and wearable piece. Very much of the moment: statement necklaces are the "it" accessory of the season. Wearable length is 17 inches. 2 inches wide in the center. Excellent condition. Best representation of the colors of the smoky stones is in the photo on the white necklace form. Photos enlarged to show detail.
