143 Grams Chinese Cognac Dark Butterscotch Amber Bead Necklace Carved

Very long antique Chinese necklace with Baltic amber beads, some carved, in dark butterscotch and cognac colors. Guaranteed genuine natural amber. The beads are mostly opaque. The color is dark orange to dark cognac. Smooth round beads are spaced with larger carved beads along the strand, which is hand knotted, with a goldtone filigree clasp. This piece has probably been restrung with the newer clasp in the last 20 or 30 years. The beads are early 20th century, probably originally prayer beads.
It weighs 143 grams.
There are 77 beads total, 70 smooth and 7 carved.
The smooth beads are 13mm and the carved beads are 17mm.
It is 46 inches long and about 3/4 inch wide at the carved beads.
PLEASE NOTE CONDITION:
The beads are well worn, in good antique condition, with oxidation and crazing, and chipping and wear around the drilled holes. The larger carved beads have wear and small losses on the high points of the carved surface. I counted about 15 to 20 smooth beads that have larger chips in the middle of the beads or at the drilled holes. Most of these are not noticeable at a short distance. All of the beads have some amount of crazing, loss, and wear. The carved beads are not exactly evenly spaced along the strand so the stringing is not perfectly symmetrical. The hand knotting is secure but there is some stretch in the string.
