Stunning and very dimensional vintage articulated collar necklace in the form of branch coral, with many black glass stones, both cabochon and faceted. 1960's, unsigned, probably Italian, by Bijoux Elfe or Bijoux Cascio, both couture makers. The heavy S shaped hook at the clasp, the overall construction, and of course the coral motif, are characteristically Italian.

Very layered, in goldtone, with overlapping sculpted coral form branches, with black glass stones alternating between cabochon and faceted cuts, at the ends of the branches. Weighty and substantial. Jointed in 13 sections connected by rings, and drapes perfectly on the neck. Coral is always a fabulous motif, and especially for resort and beach wear. Photos really do not capture the fabulous glittering impact of this piece.
16 1/2 inches long by 1 3/4 inches wide by 1/2 inch deep. Excellent condition.
