A beautiful antique Victorian / Art Nouveau 14KT yellow gold ring in the form of two intertwined snakes, each with a genuine ruby in its head. Circa 1900. Snakes were a popular motif in the Victorian era, signifying eternity and love, and were also a popular motif in the Art Nouveau and Art Deco eras. Each is 2 mm in diameter, which is approximately .05 ct each. Weighs 7 grams. With very detailed and dimensional sculpted decoration.

Ring size 7 3/4. The top is 3/4 inch wide by 1/2 inch long. Excellent condition. Photos enlarged to show detail.
