Gorgeous vintage 1960s French star form brooch in silvertone metal with very brilliant prong set rhinestones. The brooch has a French trombone pin close and typical French construction and materials. Possibly by a designer such as Roger Jean Pierre or Roger Scemama. I've attached it to a long strand of glass based faux baroque pearls, hand knotted, with matching silvertone spring ring clasp, from about the same period. The pearls are possibly Gripoix. The brooch is 1 1/2 inches wide. The pearls are 38 inches long and 9mm in diameter. Excellent condition. Display form is life size. Photos enlarged to show detail.
