Early vintage Chinese bracelet with a pale green carved chalcedony centerpiece knotted to three strands of cobalt blue Chinese Peking glass beads. The beads and centerpiece are strung with matching blue thread with what appear to be the original Chinese knots. PLEASE NOTE: This piece has possibly been shortened or altered from its original form, since in the middle, the strands are sewn together by the knots, with blue thread. The strands are therefore not continuously hand knotted together. The sewing is secure. The bracelet slides on comfortably. Wearable length is 8 inches and the chalcedony piece is 1 3/4 inches long and 1 3/8 inches wide. The beads are 9mm in diameter. Display form is life size. Photos enlarged to show detail. The beads and stone are in excellent condition. The stringing has been altered as described above.
