Stunning statement vintage late 1960s necklace by Mimi di Niscemi for Brania, with many strands of translucent and opaque resin beads, and a huge decorative box slide clasp with very unusual glass rhinestones, prong set in goldtone metal. Marked BRANIA. Stones include small brilliant multi colored stones, crescent shaped opaque black glass stones, a Peking glass stone simulating jade, another opaque green glass stone simulating carved jade, and a large marbled translucent green glass stone in decorative dog tooth prongs. 20 inches long on the inside strand. The center drops 3 inches. The clasp is 2 inches by 2 inches. Colors are brighter and better than the photos. Overall excellent condition. The large green poured glass stone has some surface roughness which is a manufacturing flaw, and what looks like an edge chip below the top of the prongs inside the setting, possibly something that occurred when the piece was assembled. Both issues are pictured but not noticeable at a short distance. Display form is life size. Photos enlarged to show detail.
