| Stunning statement size vintage elephant ivory beaded necklace with very large oval beads, large twist carved beads, small round beads, and goldtone metal fluted beads. The distinctive cross hatched graining of elephant ivory is visible on most beads. Pre-ban, circa 1960. Very substantial at 134 grams. It has a highly polished smooth finish and beautiful patinated variegated color from age and wear. Hand knotted in between the small round beads. Great to wear alone or layer with other similar long necklaces. Wearable length is 34 inches. 15/16 inch wide at largest beads. Largest beads are 1 1/4 inches long and 15/16 inch wide or 28 mm by 24 mm. The small round beads are 11 mm in diameter. Excellent condition. Slight stretch to string between the large beads. One large bead has a hairline (pictured) on part of one side. It can be felt but does not extend the length of the side and the bead is completely secure.
