Vintage unsigned Gerda Lynggaard Monies necklace in beige coconut shell with dark brown carved horn terminals and hook close. Not marked, as is common with Monies jewelry but this necklace in particular is very recognizable as Monies. 19 1/2 inches wearable length and about 3 1/2 inches wide. Excellent condition. Very dramatic 1980s goldtone metal mounted wood necklace with a large detailed dimensional head of a leopard, hanging from a heavy double strand of dark red silk cord. Marked DOMINIQUE AURIENTIS PARIS. The leopard head element is based on 16th century Benin bronze leopard head masks which were worn as waist or hip ornaments.
