Stunning vintage 1970s modernist collar necklace in sterling silver with a large genuine rock crystal quartz stone. Marked ALTON SWEDEN 935 STERLING (935 is actually a higher silver content than sterling, which is of course 925). Great statement from all angles. Easy to slip on and off. Inside circumference/wearable length is about 17 to 18 inches, including the gap, which is 2 inches. The rock crystal stone and setting is 3/4 inch. Excellent condition. Display form is life size...

Stunning statement size vintage pendant necklace and matching clip earrings. Necklace and earrings are marked STERLING and signed with initials JB. The stone is probably an amethyst but I have not had it verified by a gemologist. 1960s, from a Pittsburgh estate. Heavy and substantial at 106 grams for all pieces together. The necklace links are dimensional and sculpted. The necklace has a wearable length of 30 inches but can be clasped at many points along the chain...

Chunky heavy early modernist ring with a large faceted genuine amethyst stone. With two tiny marks on the outside of the shank. One is 800 or 900 (I can't be sure which), for silver content, and the other is a tiny hallmark or maker's mark in a cartouche. Circa 1940. Most likely European, based on the silver content and the other mark. Very well worked, with deep parallel ridges, in a great Deco/modernist design. Heavy for its size at 20 grams. Ring size 6...

Handmade vintage pendant necklace in sterling with a very large smoky cabochon stone. The stone is possibly a smoky quartz; I have not had it checked by a gemologist. Circa 1960. Not marked but tests positive for sterling silver. This piece has a great brutalist look, with oblong links, each with a turned up tip, and cut and soldered elements in the center pendant. With a hook clasp. From a Baltimore estate. 18 inches wearable length and the pendant is 2 1/2 inches long...

Beautiful dramatic handmade modernist necklace composed of sterling elements connected with brass or bronze links, with a very large bezel set onyx stone at the center. Not marked but the silver elements test positive for sterling silver. Circa 1960. Substantial at 162 grams. Wearable length is 21 inches. 2 inches wide in the center. Excellent condition. Vintage sterling articulated necklace with a detachable matching pendant with cabochon cut genuine amethyst stones. Circa 1955. A studio piece, not marked or signed but tests positive for sterling silver. With a hook clasp. The color of the stones is a bit warmer than the photos depict. Very versatile and wearable and an excellent length.

The necklace is 17 inches long clasped by 1/2 inch wide. The length can be adjusted by hooking anywhere along the necklace links...
